Abstract:
This seminar deals with mathematical methods and models for the description of medical and biological processes. The participants will form small groups, each working on a project devoted to problems arising from modeling in biology or medicine (population dynamics, reaction diffusion processes, transport processes, infectious diseases, tumor growth and cell differentiation ...). The work progress will be discussed in several meetings during the semester, and the results of each project will be reported in a final presentation at the end of the term.
