Analysis of partial differential equations models describing mutation-selection processes

This project investigates the selection-mutation processes of stem cells which have the ability to clone themselves or differentiate into a different cell. This process is modeled by a two component system of integro-differential equations coupled nonlinearly via the nonlocal term. The aim is to develop analytical tools for a system of integro-differential equations to understand better the existence and uniqueness and the long term behaviour of the solution to such systems. This shall give us insights about the reasons for selection processes.
